We-Vibe Verge Review: We Are Living in the FUTURE

Updated: Apr 9, 2022

Today's post is from Tyrone Davis Jr., a sexuality educator and Broadway actor based in New York City. Learn more about his sex ed offerings at the end of the review, on his website, or on his Instagram.

I’ll start this review by saying, historically, I have not been the biggest fan of penis rings-- I often find them tedious to put on and take off, the fit is always slightly awkward, and moving around in them can be sometimes uncomfortable. However, after trying the Verge by We-Vibe, I am writing to you as a changed person-- this vibrating penis ring is LIFE, and I am thrilled to finally be LIVING. I have finally found the right penis ring for me.

The Verge is worn around the penis and scrotum, intensifying your erection while also providing a miraculous - yes, miraculous - vibrating sensation to the perineum.

It is made of silicone material that is soft, flexible, water-proof, and body-safe. With a little lube, the toy is incredibly easy to put on and take off - (side note: never wear a penis ring for more than 30 minutes at a time). The material and construct moved seamlessly in sync with the movement of my pelvis during solo play. The design of the toy is impeccable-- providing a snug, yet comfortable fit, as the vibrator extension sits firmly against the taint. In addition, when engaging in partnered, penetrative sex, the Verge can be worn in about four different ways, providing your partner with stimulation to the clitoris and/or perineum.

The toy’s vibrator is powerful, quiet, discreet, and comes programmed with eight different vibration modes. I, myself, enjoy a consistent and deep vibe stimulation, but for those of you that enjoy variety, the modes span various intensities and sensations. One of the neatest features about this the Verge is that it can be connected via Bluetooth to the We-Vibe phone app, turning your phone into a remote (which could be quite fun when used with partners) -- and get this: in the app, you can link the toy to your music, and the vibe stimulation will be in sync with the beat of whatever song you’re listening to during play! WE ARE OFFICIALLY LIVING IN THE FUTURE!!

Lastly, penis rings have a somewhat of a limited reputation as being for people that experience erectile dysfunction (which they can be great for!). However, penis owners-- I’m here to tell you that you may be missing out if you’re not including the Verge (or any penis ring you may like) into your regular play - solo or partnered; ED or not. Experiencing the Verge is to experience pleasure just for the inherently-deserved sake of it. I am happy to now include the Verge into my box of pleasure enhancement tools.
